South Aust Payroll Tax: COVID-19 Stimulus Package

On 26 March, the South Australian Premier, Steven Marshall announced a second package of economic stimulus measures in response to the coronavirus crisis.

The package includes payroll tax relief:-

Businesses with annual grouped payroll up to $4m:

Payroll tax waived for 6 months: April to September 2020

Businesses with grouped annual wages over $4m, which have been significantly impacted by coronavirus:

Deferment of payroll tax payments for 6 months

This crisis is moving very fast and governments are responding with new announcements every few days. I am staying across all developments relevant to payroll tax and will post updates as they are announced.
