To further support businesses progress through the ‘Roadmap to COVID Normal’ on 13 September, Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews announced additional payroll tax relief for some businesses.
Several measures in regard to payroll tax relief have previously been announced with the Premier stating that around 20,000 businesses had received refunds of payroll tax in the last financial year and thousands have received a full waiver of their obligations.
In this latest announcement, the Government is deferring payroll tax for the complete 2020/21 financial year for businesses with payrolls up to $10 million.
The entire package also includes a range of other waivers, cash grants and deferrals of other business payments.
